Angela Bishop, MBA is a graduate of the MBA program at Saint Mary's University in Nova Scotia, Canada. After graduating she taught ethics in marketing to undergraduate and graduate students, and represented Saint Mary's to the Canadian Democracy and Corporate Accountability Commission. Her career has focused on providing leadership to organizations addressing pressing social issues, including homelessness and affordable housing, and the health of families in at-risk neighborhoods, and on strengthening the third sector and its organizations, especially in relation to resource development. As a volunteer, she has served on provincial and community-based boards, and represented Atlantic Canada with the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association, an Ottawa based organization that advocates for a national housing policy that recognizes all citizens' right to a home. In all of her roles, Angela advocates for and promotes inter-sector partnerships as key to advancing solutions to pressing social issues.

Amy Knop-Narbutis is a current Fulbright fellow researching gender inequity in fair trade agriculture in Costa Rica, supported by the U.S. Student Fulbright Program. She is a recent graduate from Villanova University where she received a B.A. Honors Liberal Arts with specializations in Latin American Studies, Peace & Justice Studies, and Ethics. Her past experience with CSR includes taking a course in which she performed in-depth CSR evaluations of coal mining companies in Colombia and of Cadbury Ltd. She previously interned for a fair trade commercialization company in Quito, Ecuador, where she studied community perspectives on fair trade. In the future, she hopes to pursue a Masters in Development Studies and a career in an international NGO working for economic justice.

Charles A. Skinner is an experienced leader, facilitator and organization consultant who founded F.I.T. Organizations, LLC in 2004, which is dedicated to enabling organizations and all their stakeholders to succeed by creating functioning partnerships through facilitation, implementation-based consulting and training. Topics range from strategic planning and problem solving to office and production area improvements and team building. He has consulted nationally and internationally for Fortune 500 and other companies. He has presented at national and regional conferences for Productivity Inc., IEE, AME, Ohio State University, University of Dayton, Northwest Food Processors, and others, earning top ratings. Skinner also has fifteen years experience creating and managing a wide variety of organizations including: Director and Manager for local and nationwide drug prevention programs; Director of Treatment Services at a facility for people with mental retardation; Wellness Consultant; Director of hospital-based adolescent outpatient treatment program, community organizer and university instructor. He has developed and conducted training events for adult learners in a variety of businesses, industries, government and social service organizations, colleges and universities. He has worked on the factory floor. He managed a union facility. He has designed and taught courses including Organizational Behavior, and Understanding and Managing Human Behavior. Three programs he designed and implemented received national recognition.

Enyi Anosike is a community Psychiatrist, who is also engaged in tropical Medicine and also is a student of International Public Health. He Lives and works primarily U.K however he is also does Mental Public Health work in Nigeria, West Africa.

Ethel Maldonado Herrera is currently finishing her degree in Industrial Engineering at Universidad de Costa Rica and writing her thesis on "CSR and sustainability in tourism – tour operators". She would like to work with an organization in which she can give value back to the country and the society. She’s keen in knowing and learning from other cultures and had the opportunity to spend a year in Germany as a foreign student, for which she’s fluent in German, English and Spanish, and can adapt easily to different experiences. She’s adventurous, very active and love challenges!

Kyle Greaves worked for GMMB, a non-profit and political communication consulting firm in Washington DC from 2006-2008. At GMMB he worked on various projects, but spent the majority of his time helping to develop an investor education program, SaveandInvest.org, that targets Military service members and their families. He has experience specifically around media relations, coalition building, advertising development and branding. While still in D.C., Kyle volunteered his time and skills with various Environment non-profits. He served as the co-coordinator of a large environmental rally Step it Up DC, during the Spring of 2007. In hopes of working on more environmental issues, Kyle moved to Ciudad Colon, Costa Rica in July 2008 with his girlfriend, who is working towards her MA at the University for Peace. Currently Kyle is teaching English in surrounding communities and is beginning to volunteer with the UPEACE Centre for Executive and Professional Education in a communication capacity. Kyle received his BA in Pyschology and Public Relations in 2006 from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. He hopes to pursue a MA in Urban Environmental Policy and Planning in the Fall of 2010.

Maria del Mar Murillo is a professional in Communications and Public Relations with 7 years of experience in NGOs in Latin America and the Caribbean. Especially in the following areas: corporate communications, corporate identity, branding; internal and external communications; media relations. Also in the production of corporate materials such as: brochures, press realeases, identity manuals; implementation of communications policies and procedures (at regional level); web pages. Along with that she has worked raising funds and making strategic alliances with corporations. She has participated in the direction of publications in topics like: children, Aids and child labor. She has worked in emergency communications and organizational crisis capacity building in 14 countries in the region. In 2001, she obtained the Habitat for Humanity International Youth Award on Advocacy. Currently she is doing a consultancy in institutional communication and branding with Boy with a Ball organization that works in youth, development and leadership issues.

Maria Pía Robles is 24 years old; she was born and raised in Costa Rica. Up to date, she’s the Corporate Affairs Coordinator for Holtermann & Compañía, a Costarican company with more than 60 years leading the alcohol beverage market. She holds a Bachelor degree in Public Relations from the University of Costa Rica, and is currently finishing the Licentiate in Public Relations. She’s very interested in Corporate Social Responsibility and is planning on the short term to pursue a Masters either in International Relations or Business Administration. She has worked in different branches of communications ranging from advertising to audiovisual production and directing. She enjoys reading, cooking and knitting.

Melanie Bekevich is currently a UPeace graduate student in the International Peace Studies program. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta in Political Science and Economics. In years prior to attending UPeace, Melanie worked in New Home Sales in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She is also a small business owner and residential real estate investor.

Pamela Castillo has a bachelor in Law from Universidad de Costa Rica. She is a Candidate of the MA Environmental Security and Peace Program of the University for Peace, currently she is writing her thesis on The Applicability of Integrated Coastal Zone Management in Costa Rica. For five years, she worked at the Environmental Law and Natural Resources Center (CEDARENA) as a consultant, executing projects and consultancies in the environmental legal field (water resources management, environmental services payment, land tenancy studies for protected areas, among others). Currently working as a consultant for ENLACE (Environmental Law Consultant Enterprise) where she execute environmental consultancies for real estate companies, environmental Due Diligence, environmental audits (ISO 14001), environmental conflict management, and coordinates the CSR Program for ENLACE .

Sarah Burke received her Masters degree in Globalisation from Dublin City University, Ireland. She has worked across sectors with the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC). She has interned with The Atlantic Philanthropies and upon completion of her MA she worked as COP intern with the United Nations Global Compact Office. She is currently working as a trainee with the Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress based in San Jose, Costa Rica. She works predominantly in the area of Good Governance and Human Progress focusing on the empowerment of entrepreneurial rural women across the Central American region to attain the capacities needed to gain access to and obtain organizational strengthening and micro credit financing toward the development of their business. Sarah enjoys traveling, learning languages and is an avid sailor whenever the opportunity arises.
