Sheila Berry (USA) BA in Economics and English and Spanish Literature from Stanford University Fulbright Scholar at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico (ITAM) (MBA coursework + research on NAFTA) Candidate for MPA from John F. Kennedy School of Government Candidate for MBA from Harvard Business School

Most of my professional experience has been in financial services and international trade. After graduating from college, I spent a year in Mexico as a Fulbright Scholar examining the effects of NAFTA's ratification on Mexican economic development. Afterwards, I returned to the States to work at JPMorgan Private Bank. For three years, I identified, analyzed, and developed new private client opportunities from existing corporate relationships or transactions within the Investment Bank and the Private Equity Group. I started my graduate studies at Harvard in 2005. Last summer, I had a wonderful internship in Geneva at the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/WTO, a small United Nations agency focused on helping developing countries promote their exports.

Priv Bradoo (New Zealand) BTech Hons (Biomedical Science), University of Auckland PhD (Neuroscience), University of Auckland MBA, Harvard Business School

Priv Bradoo is an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School on a Fulbright-Platinum Triangle Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. Born in India, and raised in Oman, Priv has lived and studied in New Zealand since 1998. She graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Technology with First Class Honours (majoring in Biomedical Science) in 2002. She received a Foundation for Science, Research and Technology Bright Futures Enterprise Fellowship towards completing a PhD (majoring in Neuroscience) at the University of Auckland's Liggins Institute. During her PhD, Priv discovered a gene which is now being developed as a drug for brain repair. While at university, Priv founded two not-for-profit organizations aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth in NZ. She served as the inaugural CEO of the Spark* Entrepreneurship Venture, and received the UoA School of Business Dean's Award for outstanding leadership and innovation in 2004. In 2005 Priv founded Chiasma, an initiative aiming to encourage the spirit of enterprise amongst the NZ’s biotech community. Priv also worked as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group before attending Harvard Business School. Priv is extremely passionate about social enterprise causes in developing and emerging markets as a source of economic growth and reform for the future.

Gonzalo Daniel Escobar (USA and Guatemala) BA (Political Science and Economics) from University of Illinois Candidate for Master in Public Policy, June 2008, Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government

Gonzalo grew up in Chicago IL, and before coming to the Kennedy school worked with the Bureau of Labor Statistics, US Department of State, US Department of Health and Human Services, and on Barack Obama's Senate campaign. At the Kennedy school Gonzalo's focus is on business government policy and in addition to his public policy degree he is also planning on pursuing a joint master in business administration. After graduation Gonzalo hopes to work on establishing large public private partnerships.

Rachel González was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, a city that borders Mexico. During her time at Harvard College, she served as a Committee Chair for HACIA Democracy, a non-profit organization that seeks to promote democracy in the Western Hemisphere, primarily through an educational government simulation conference for high school students held in Latin America. After graduating from Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree in Government, she worked for a private international law firm specializing in corporate, commercial, and financial practice in Latin America called Grant, Herrmann, Schwartz and Klinger. Rachel is currently in her second year of a four-year joint JD/MBA program at Harvard, where she is a Primary Editor for the Harvard Human Rights Law Journal and a member of the Volunteer Consulting Organization.

Shikha Kalra (India) BA (Political Science, English and Economics) from University of Lucknow, India Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management, Indian Institute of Forest Management Candidate for Master in Business Administration, June 2008, Harvard Business School

For close to three years I worked with CARE, an international not-for-profit organization in its leadership development program. The program included working in different functions relating to the mission program areas such as Health, Education, Microfinance, HIV/AIDS, Emergency Response, Governance, Gender and operations, monitoring & evaluation, finance, research and HR. Thereafter, I worked on the formation of a microfinance development and technical resource company designed to spin off from CARE into a revenue based model. During this period I heading operations in a geographical zone in central India. My work involved business development, finding and partnering with potential microfinance banks and revamping their systems (including operations, product development, MIS, finance, HR and governance) and helping them to raise capital by networking heavily with governmental and non-governmental investors to enable them to become self-sustaining profitable entities. Thereafter I worked at ICICI Bank, India’s largest private bank, in its Rural Microlending and Agribusiness Group. While here, I worked on the bank’s initiatives in North India in identification, due-diligence and monitoring of smaller microfinance banks.

Michael Keating (USA) BA from Wesleyan University, USA MA in Urban Planning from Harvard Graduate School of Design Candidate for Master in Business Administration, June 2007, Harvard Business School

Michael Keating grew up in Boston and studied art at Wesleyan University. Before coming to Harvard he worked for internet start ups, environmental organizations and architecture firms. He holds a Masters in Urban Planning from Harvard's Graduate School of Design and is in the second year of the the MBA program at Harvard Business School. After graduation he plans to start a business to sell biofuels to drivers in the United States.

Shannon Music is passionate about working at the intersection of business and service. Her involvement with social enterprise and corporate social responsibility started at Harvard College where she was one of the early members and presidents of the Social Enterprise Club. She was also an intern at Instituto Ethos de Empresas e Responsabilidade Social in Brazil and at Asociación de Empresarios para el Desarrollo (AED) in Costa Rica, in both instances analyzing the role of business in education. After graduating with an honors degree in psychology, she became an Americorps VISTA Fellow and worked as Program Manager at New Sector Alliance, delivering high-quality, affordable consulting services to nonprofit organizations while inspiring lifetime social sector involvement among students and business professionals. Shannon also worked as a summer consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and contributed to developing their social impact strategy. She is currently a joint MBA/MPA degree candidate at Harvard Business School and John F. Kennedy School of Government. At HBS she is the president of the Social Enterprise Club, and at KSG she is a Catherine B. Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship. Shannon’s goal is to help lead the development of social enterprise and corporate social responsibility in Latin America and Costa Rica.

Vincent Perez (USA) M.B.A. in International Finance, St. John’s University, Peter J. Tobin College of Business, Italy B.S. in Finance and Banking, St. John’s University, College of Business Administration, USA

Vincent Perez graduated from St John's University’s College of Business Administration with a Bachelors of Science in Finance. He moved to Europe to pursue his Masters of Business Administration, specializing in International Finance, where he completed the Global Finance and Economics Seminar at the United Kingdom’s London School of Economics and subsequently joined one of the first classes to graduate from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business in Rome, Italy. His experience within the investment banking industry includes serving as a Senior Management Reporting Analyst of Cantor Fitzgerald Securities. Most currently serves as the Senior Financial Analyst of EURAM (European American Investment Group) – Pali Capital, a full service private international investment bank, and as an Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance at the Peter J. Tobin College of Business. In addition to being a co-founder and co-president of a NYC spin-off of the national movement of the Dialogue on Diversity, Vincent is also an active member & supporter of NSHMBA (National Society of Hispanic MBAs), and he sits on the executive board of ALPFA-NY (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting).
