Teachers College Peace Education Center: www.tc.columbia.edu Works to further the development of the field of peace education, particularly in recognition of the unprecedented need to address issues of security, war and peace, human rights and social justice, sustainable development and ecological balance.
Teaching for Change: www.teachingforchange.org Provides teachers and parents with the tools to transform schools into centers of justice where students learn to read, write and change the world.
The Hague Appeal for Peace: www.haguepeace.org International network of organizations and individuals dedicated to the abolition of war and making peace a human right. The Global Campaign for Peace Education was launched at the Hague Appeal for Peace conference in May 1999. After the conference, Hague Appeal for Peace took the responsibility of coordinating the Campaign.
Human Rights Education Association (HREA): www.hrea.org Supports human rights learning; the training of activists and professionals; the development of educational materials and programming; and community-building through on-line technologies. HREA works with individuals, non-governmental organisations, inter-governmental organisations and governments interested in implementing human rights education programmes.
United Nations Cyberschoolbus: www.un.org/cyberschoolbus/peace Online education component of the Global Teaching and Learning Project, whose mission is to promote education about international issues and the United Nations. The vision of this Project is to provide exceptional educational resources (both online and in print) to students growing up in a world undergoing increased globalization.
