The Centre's Team
Mohit Mukherjee is the Director of the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education as well as a faculty member at UPEACE. Prior to this position, he served for four years as Education Programme Manager of the Earth Charter Initiative, an international nonprofit organization. He also spent three years in the private sector, at A.T. Kearney, a top-tier international management consulting firm based in USA, and three years as an educator in Ecuador. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, and did his Master’s at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, also taking two courses at Harvard Business School on how to start up, manage, and grow social enterprises. Mohit is an avid tennis player, though is struggling to find the "win-win" scenario on the court.
Amr Abdalla is the Faculty Chair of the Centre of Executive Education. He is a Professor and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at UPEACE. He obtained a law degree in Egypt in 1977 where he practiced law as a prosecuting attorney. He obtained a Master's degree in Sociology and a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University, in the U.S. He has been teaching graduate classes in conflict analysis and resolution, and has conducted training, research and evaluation of conflict resolution and peacebuilding programs in Egypt, Switzerland, Burundi, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Italy, Rwanda, Ireland, Iraq, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Zambia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, India and Sri Lanka. He has been an active figure in promoting effective cross-cultural messages through workshops, T.V. and radio presentations.
Alonso Muñoz is the Coordinator of the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education. Prior to his work at the Centre, Alonso worked with the private sector for two years. However, he has spent most of his free time volunteering for CISV, a nonprofit organization founded on the aim of achieving peace through cross-cultural understanding and friendship. There, he played a varied number of roles on national and international levels, including spending several months in Germany and Japan directing summer camps. Besides CISV, Alonso was president of the Engineering Faculty of the Universidad de Costa Rica, same school where he graduated as an electrical engineer. He loves travelling and multi-national environments and he's a backpacker at heart!

Veronika Marenco is the newest collaborator to the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education as well as a Masters student at UPEACE. She has a Bachelors degree in Education, a Masters in International Education and is currently embarking on a second Masters in Peace Education. For the last ten years Veronika has worked in international education, teaching in both private and public schools in Costa Rica, Italy, the United States of America and Great Britain. As a self-confessed language lover she has also undertaken translation work for a wide range of companies and institutions. In her free time Veronika enjoys ballet, horse-riding and travelling as well as meeting new people and learning about their cultures and customs.
