MohitMohit Mukherjee is the Director of the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education as well as a faculty member at UPEACE. Prior to this position, he served for four years as Education Programme Manager of the Earth Charter Initiative, an international nonprofit organization. He also spent three years in the private sector, at A.T. Kearney, a top-tier international management consulting firm based in USA, and three years as an educator in Ecuador. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, and did his Master’s at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, also taking two courses at Harvard Business School on how to start up, manage, and grow social enterprises. Mohit is an avid tennis player, though is struggling to find the "win-win" scenario on the court.

Amr Abdalla is the Faculty Chair of the Centre of Executive Education. He is a Professor and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at UPEACE. He obtained a law degree in Egypt in 1977 where he practiced law as a prosecuting attorney. He obtained a Master's degree in Sociology and a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University, in the U.S. He has been teaching graduate classes in conflict analysis and resolution, and has conducted training, research and evaluation of conflict resolution and peacebuilding programs in Egypt, Switzerland, Burundi, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Italy, Rwanda, Ireland, Iraq, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Zambia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, India and Sri Lanka. He has been an active figure in promoting effective cross-cultural messages through workshops, T.V. and radio presentations.

 

 

alonso_wallAlonso Muñoz is the Program Manager of the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education. Prior to his work at the Centre, Alonso worked with the private sector for two years. However, he has spent most of his free time volunteering for CISV, a nonprofit organization founded on the aim of achieving peace through cross-cultural understanding and friendship. There, he played a varied number of roles on national and international levels, including spending several months in Germany and Japan directing summer camps. Besides CISV, Alonso was president of the Engineering Faculty of the Universidad de Costa Rica, same school where he graduated as an electrical engineer. He loves travelling and multi-national environments and he's a backpacker at heart!



NickyNicky de Koning is the Marketing Assistant at the UPEACE Center for Executive Education. Having lived in Kenya, with parents working in the tourism industry, she developed an interest in sustainability and tourism early on. These passions united during her studies of International Business and Tourism in Frankfurt, while working at Thomas Cook Germany, Europe´s second largest tour operator. She worked on sustainability projects, absolved an internship and wrote her bachelor thesis on the subject, remaining involved in the sustainability project team when moving to Switzerland and subsequently Greece for Thomas Cook. One year ago, she traveled to Costa Rica to learn first-hand about ecotourism, and has stayed, learning, ever since. She loves traveling the outer world and learning about foreign cultures and their languages, as well as journeying the inner world with yoga.
